American group The Black Eyed Peas (Will.I.Am, Fergie, Taboo, apl.de.ap) gave a show on September 9th in Jerusalem, Israel. You can check out above some pictures of the show. This was the reason Fergie couldn't attend to the 2007 VMA's where she won the award for "Female Artist Of The Year". Thanks Chen!

"A new sound from Ashlee Simpson is banging on the speakers, a more tribal, dangerous, seductive sound, filled with beats and synth lines. "Here, in the dark, is where I find the light," she sings, in a slow, slinky way. "I've got a monkey on my back, get it off," she then sings in a near-rap. "I get away with murder," she drawls.

"The song is called "Murder" and it might be her first single. It's one of six songs she recorded in Los Angeles over the past few months with Timbaland, while she has seven others completed with Chad Hugo of the Neptunes and Kenna. One non-Timbaland track, "Follow You Wherever You Go," is what her father Joe calls her "Broadway thing" a jazzed-up number inspired by her work in the West End production of "Chicago".

· Pop singer Ashlee Simpson previewed a few songs of her upcoming album, due in November, last Saturday in Las Vegas and MTV News was there and can tell us how they are. The track titled "Murder" is the album's first single, it was supposed to come out in ringtone format on September 7th according to Geffen.com but nothing so far. Hopefully it'll leak soon. WATCH PERFORMANCES:

BRITNEY SPEARS – GIMME MORE
50 CENT FT. JUSTIN T. AYO TECHNOLOGY
NICOLE SCHERZINGER – WHATEVER U LIKE
ALICIA KEYS PERFORMANCE
CHRIS BROWN PERFORMANCE
LINKIN PARK – BLEED IT OUT
RIHANNA – SHUT UP AND DRIVE
TIMBO, JUSTIN T & NELLY FURTADO FINALE SHOW

MORE: RIHANNA - UMBRELLA / KANYE WEST FT TPAIN - GOOD LIFE

So another MTV Music Video Awards has come and gone. This was supposed to be THE award show for Britney Spears comeback but unfortunately it turned out to be really dissapointing. I still can't think of what happened to Britney that night. Looks like she didn't want to do it in the first place and was scared, nervous and a bit angry?. Do you think she can still make a comeback performance later this year?...

And overall i think this year's VMAS pretty much sucked. The show was a mess. I think it was a bad idea doing it in a Hotel. There were mini performances everywhere in the hotel's rooms then they cut it and put the main show, really bad idea. The show must be back to a place where there is a center stage and the performances are there and everyone is happy and can focus on that. And well of course not everything was bad on this show, i can save performances like: Chris Brown who was amazing! really amazing and Alicia Keys who was on fire! I didn't expect her actually to perform "No One" the way she did. Kanye was excellent too and a couple more performances. Oh and the finale act was not what i expected. I mean end the show with "Give It To You"? Really shocking. But at the end what made my day was seeing KERI HILSON, love her! And well also i have to give propz for a hot show to Nicole Scherzinger (Pre-show), she deserved a place on the main event really. Well check out the performances above. Enjoy

· On the music side, the last we "heard" of Jojo was the cover she did of Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls" and about her latest album "The High Road", she wanted to shoot a video for her single "Anything" and she was going to ask her label for it but that was back in May. I guess the label said: "No...". So looks like there are not going to be more singles off "THR" and she's going to work now on the 3rd album.

As i previously announced a couple weeks ago i got to interview recording artist Paula DeAnda. This is the first interview i've done for the blog and hopefully more will come in a soon future. Check it out:

1. When did you find out you wanted to be a singer and how was for you to sign for Clive Davis with Arista Records?

Being a singer has always been in my blood. Since I was a toddler I started really getting out there and singing everywhere. By age 6, I loved everything about singing. I was always the entertainment for friend and family get togethers.

Getting signed by Clive was a blessing and something I will never forget; truly a life changing event.
Arista Records is really behind theirs artists. I feel like everything happens for a reason and this is my chance to show everyone that dreams can come true.

2. You released back in 2006 your debut album, how can you describe it?

My debut album consists of feel good kinda songs, as well as love songs. It’s a fun album

3. What's your favourite song on the album?

It’s so hard to pick just one. I enjoyed all of them, but especially Doing 2 Much because it was my first single it was the first song that got me out there .

4. Everybody thought your song "When It Was Me" was going to be the 3rd single and even there was a contest for the video on your official website but then it all was pushed back to release "Easy", what is
going to happen to "When It Was Me" now?

What people don’t really know is it was released already. It just didn’t have a good start - mostly because there was such a demand for “Easy.” Since its a fun, playful, sassy song radio, wanted it. “When It Was Me” is a great song and did what it could, still as I do shows, that’s the favorite. Hopefully we can work something out that will give it the props it deserves.

5. You recently released a new single "Easy" feat. Bow Wow but the album's original version features Lil' Wayne, why was the change?

Everyone’s favorite question, lol! Well, I would have loved for Lil Wayne to be on the version but since he had so many collabs at the time, it wasn’t possible to clear the single in time, but this gave me a chance to work with Bow Wow, which for me was just fine. There will plenty of time to do something in the future with Weezy

7. Some sources have told me, you're recording or will record a Spanish album, is this true? And if it's true. That will mean you can now enter to the Latin market in Latin America and Spain (where I live), are you excited and can you tells us a bit of the progress of the album?

Yes, this is true and I’m so excited. This is something
I have been looking forward to. I get a chance to show off my roots - Spanish is a beautiful language. I can’t wait to see what happens with it.

8. For your sophomore English album, with who would you like to work both producers and singers for collaborations?

I would love to work with Ludacris. I’m a huge fan of his. He can spit on an opera track and make it sound hot.
Someone else I would love to work with is Alicia Keys she is so talented and beautiful and one of my inspirations.

The producers I would like to work with is the Underdogs. I’ve heard a lot of positive things about them. Ryan Tedder, who is actually a singer himself, his voice is soulful, I’m actually in and out the studio with him.
JR Rotem, who I recently have been working with as well, he produced Sean Kingston’s entire album. Jared and Whitney, who have done some stuff for my girl JOJO very cool producers.

9. Talking about collaborations, you've worked with Sean Kingston on the song "There's Nothing", how was that experience with Sean who is currently having major success on the US?

I loved working with Sean, he’s a cool dude and very talented. I didn’t even know I’d be the only singer on his album. As soon as I heard the track, I went crazy and said, “man, I gotta be on this.” His style sounds so doo woopy, which I like. I can’t wait to do the video for it. I can only imagine.

10. We recently saw you as Alice on "Super Sweet 16: The Movie", how was that movie debut and would you like to develop your actress career?

The debut went well. It was a very fun experience for me. I’m looking more into acting ever since I did the movie super sweet sixteen because as a kid I was always in plays.

11. What are some of your favourites songs of the moment?

Baby Bash - Cyclone
J Holiday - Bed
Young Dream - Shorty you a 10
Ciara – Can’t leave ‘em alone
Keyshia Cole - Let It Go

12. Finally, what would you like to say to your fans on "Kevipod Music" and all over the world?

THANX FOR ALL THE LOVE MUCHOS BESOS and keep growing with me. Sophomore album coming soon!

Latina: So, your name has French roots. And, you know, you could have pursued singing in French. But you've chosen to sing in Spanish on this album instead. Why was that?

Beyonce: Well, I did actually sing a song in French at the Oscars. It was very hard. But that gave me the confidence to sing in Spanish because if I can do that, then I felt like, well maybe I can sing in Spanish. I've always loved the way Spanish sounds with music and with melodies. It's just so beautiful and so passionate. I also grew up in Texas and I remember listening to Selena all the time.

Latina: How did you learn to sing in Spanish?

B: I only took classes for a few years in middle school, when you learn to say things like, "Where's the bathroom?" But, even that helped me with my pronunciation when I got in the studio. I still get a little nervous when I have to do it live, but I'm getting pretty good at it, especially when it has a melody attached to it. I take a lot of time and focus because I want to do it right.

Latina: Have you ever considered touring in Latin America?

B: I have to go. I've never performed there before. But now, I have this album, so maybe I'll take a month off and visit some places in Latin America at the end of the year. There are certain trips I've been saving, so I have something to look forward to--and Brazil is one of those places. I'd love to go there.

Latina: Do you plan to keep singing in Spanish?

B: I don't know, I'm trying to see how this goes. But do I enjoy singing in Spanish. I think it's so cool. I want to learn more, but right now I don't have time. I'm always so busy--I haven't had a real vacation since I was about 13. So when I finally get a break, the first thing I want to do is learn how to cook, and the second thing is to learn Spanish.

Angie Romero recently interviewed R&B star Beyonce for the latest issue of Latina Magazine. Remember she released on August 28th her first Spanish EP/DVD entitled "Irremplazable". CLICK HERE to read the full interview.

Four Britney Spears songs have recently leaked. They are; "Been A While", "Got Me High", "Your" and "Everybody". It's not totally clear yet if they're indeed new or songs she recorded time ago. Here's an information about these songs thanks to one of her fansites, UBritney.com: (Btw, thanks to HeyBrtiney.com for the songs's links)

"The new Britney tracks that leaked today (except Everybody) all appeared on a demo CD that was recorded in 2005 for The Original Doll album. Because the songs won't be used, Jive records decided to send them to different sources so they'd leak them and this way, make good promotion for Brit's new album by giving a preview of the new sound she's going for and to also give fans something to listen to until the new record is out. About 18 more demos are said to become available throughout the week"

Pretty interesting. Anyway, Britney's new album is due out on November 13th.
